• You always want the light behind the camera.
• On what object should you focus the camera?
zoom and then focus
• No tripod=bad
• Date and Time=this is permanently recorded on your tape
when would we want the date and time permanantly?
I say never
• SP/EP
Standard play
extended play worse quality (crappy mode)
• Camera shoots in SP.
• Pre-Roll- 2 ta 3 seconds before interview for editing purpose
• Post-Roll-2 ta 3 seconds after interview for editing purpose
CAMERA SHOTS:

Dynamic=has some depth, not plain
Interviewee is at least 6-8 feet from the wall
Interviewee is the shot not the poster
• Interview Shot= 2 Eyes and 1 Ear
more dynamic
1 Shot=middle of chest to just above the head.
• 1 Shot with graphic.Off center to fit graphic
• 2 Shot=show only when you have converastion back and forth.
• Establishing Shot
• CU-closs up
• MS- middle shot
• LS-
long shot
• ECU-extra close up
• Wide-Medium-Tight
• Rule of thirds- stuff on the lines
• Shoot Matched Action
• Get Sequences
CAMERA MOVEMENTS:
• Tilt- up and down move ment
• Pan- left and right movement to follow action
• Zoom-magnifying your image and also magnifys movment
• Dolly/Truck-
